I started working with INCo within their Consultancy division 5 years ago, having previously worked in B2B sales. When I first started the job I was unsure of what to expect, other than the strong desire to learn from the best, work hard and make a lot of money! During my first week, I was given a lot of support and encouragement and this enabled me to rapidly develop my skills, boost by confidence, and eventually thrive as a consistent top performer whilst enjoying fantastic financial rewards. Over my time at INCo I have now been fortunate enough to represent and call on behalf of some of the world’s top leading professional services firms. With the excellent training and support provided, I feel I have now mastered my ability to deliver our client’s propositions to prospects using a consultative sales approach. Through engaging with a variety of prospects, this role has introduced me to new business concepts, an understanding of different technological terminology and a wider awareness of the common trends and challenges facing the business community. No other job has provided me with this much valuable knowledge and insight and I now enjoy sharing and passing on my own knowledge, sales approach and experience to other people to help them to also thrive and succeed in a diverse telesales environment. I joined INCo 5 years ago from a Telesales background. I quickly discovered that INCo was much more than a “job” and provided me with a career. I have now been working for INCo for almost 3 years. Since that time I have been given and wide scope of responsibilities, and gained a huge amount of experience, ranging from campaign promoting Data Analytics, IT Security, Managed Services, Converged Infrastructure, Reference Architecture, Cloud and Data Centre to name a few. I’m also proud to say that I’ve reached another one of my goals and have been promoted to a Platinum Business Development Consultant on the INCo ladder of Business Development Experience. My experience of working for INCo after 3 years still results in a “ buzzing” environment, filled with amazing opportunities, training and incentives which most definitely drives me and provides a boost in motivation to the entire team.
Platinum Business Development Consultant
Where do I start, I joined INCo 12 months ago after being a sales manager for 5 years. I had no previous experience in IT sales however I very quickly adapted. This was through the excellent training programmes that INCo provide along the exceptional support I had from senior management. After being with the company for just over 6 months INCo were internally recruiting for team leader positions which was of real interest to me. I was lucky enough to be chosen for one of the team leader positions and have had excellent success since then. INCo is more than an average job. INCo is a career and I have had the pleasure of working for this excellent company for the past 12 months and I certainly don’t intend of going elsewhere. What more can I ask for when I gained invaluable industry knowledge, excellent bonuses and reward schemes along with a promotion and progression all within my first 12 months with the company.
I began my career at INCo as a Business Development Consultant in 2008 working on Software Solutions and quickly realised the camaraderie the team had, and INCo’s willingness to promote within. After spending time generating quality opportunities for a diverse range of clients into varying UK markets, my hard work was recognised and I was given the opportunity to become a Team Leader. Throwing myself into this position, I managed a team of 4 consultants which then led into a team of approximately 20 consultants. The opportunity then arose to branch out of the business development team and progress into Campaign Management, where I still am now, six years later! I am responsible for managing close relationships with my own dedicated client base, understanding my clients’ requirements and ensuring the opportunities they receive from INCo are of top quality and result in securing business, which I am happy to say is the case. The most enjoyable part of the role is when you hear about the new business wins your clients have achieved on the back of INCo’s leads. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.
I joined the team at INCo 7 years ago and have never looked back. Coming from a large corporate, the refreshing and personal approach INCo took to managing and equipping its staff was an eye opener. I was no longer a number, but an individual in a company that was rooting for you to succeed. I found out that if you put in the effort to learn as much as you could and worked hard, the rewards were there both financially and in the form of a career. Following several successful sales months as a Business Development Consultant, I was offered a Team Leader role. Following several more successful sales months as Team Leader, I applied for Team Manager. I then progressed to Operations Manager, Operations Director, and latterly Vice President Sales. I never dreamt that when I started with INCo I would have the opportunities to progress in this way, but it goes to show – find the right company who is willing to invest the time and effort in supporting and developing you, work hard at it, and there’s no end to your career prospects.
